The company has strengthened its radio business through strategic promotions across key positions in sales.

Reliance Broadcast Network has announced consolidation and strengthening of functions within its radio business, 92.7 Big FM, through strategic promotions across key positions. The new appointments are in the area of sales development.

In a new role, Ashwin Padmanabhan, erstwhile business head for West and South, takes over as business head, 92.7 Big FM. Padmanabhan has been with the company since its inception, when he began his career as the station head for Hyderabad, growing very quickly to his current profile.

Nitin Jain takes over as national sales head, 92.7 Big FM. With more than 15 years of experience across sectors like automobiles, telecom and insurance, and having worked with leading brands like Maruti, Airtel and Max Life Insurance, his last assignment was with Aegon Religare.

Shalini Dureja moves up as vice-president, head, impact sales, West and South. Her new role requires her to service key clients, sell key innovations and intellectual properties, and maximise revenues. A media veteran, Dureja has worked with brands such as Radio City and Times of India before joining 92.7 Big FM more than six years ago, where she was the cluster head and sales head for Kerala.

Meanwhile, Kiran Thangarajan has been promoted as cluster head, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He has been with 92.7 Big FM for almost two years, before which he worked with brands such as Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank as acquisition head for liabilities in Tamil Nadu.

Charanjeet Arora moves to the position of regional business head, North, which includes the regions of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. An MBA in marketing from the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Charan, as he is known in the circuit, has 19 years of experience and has worked with Modi, STAR TV, Lintas, Times of India and DHL in important positions.

Sanjeev Sharma, who joined 92.7 Big FM in 2010 as regional head (govt business), has been promoted as national head of government business. He will be responsible for revenue generation for both the radio and television businesses. Earlier, he has worked for ICICI Securities as regional head for Punjab and Rajasthan.
