Speaking about his experience at the agency, Pandit says, "It's been a wonderful journey with GroupM. After 31 years in the business, I thought it was time to take a break. Training, teaching and sports have always been a passion. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute in these spheres. It feels sad leaving a great organisation and some great people that I worked with."

In 2000, Pandit joined Mindshare in Mumbai. He then headed GroupM's entertainment, sports and partnerships practice in 2006. He was a part of Aspire, the agency's training programme.
