PrecisionMatch, an audience data provider for display advertising in India, SEA and MEA, has appointed Chandrabhanu Pattajoshi as business head. Earlier, Pattajoshi was national head for sales and strategy at Yahoo India.
With this appointment, Nitin Chowdhary, who was leading the business at PrecisionMatch, has moved into a corporate role at SVG Media (the parent company of PrecisionMatch) to further strengthen the display product and technology backbone of SVG Media businesses.
In his new role, Pattajoshi will lead sales, business development, alliances, partnerships and the overall business. He will build PrecisionMatch ground up in India and work on international expansion plans.
Pattajoshi has more than 16 years of experience in leading business development and media sales for brands across business verticals and media genres. Besides Yahoo, Pattajoshi has also been associated with Radio One as head of West and was the front runner in launching the Bengaluru chapter of the radio channel. Before Radio One, he was the regional sales head at STAR TV in Bengaluru.
Pattajoshi states, "The future of display advertising on the internet lies in data. Data targeted display is an adopted practice in the West and has helped automobile brands and retail players boost sales, drive footfalls and increase website traffic. I am confident that data targeted display will change the dynamics of online advertising, and brands in India will soon witness an interesting inflection point."
In October 2012, Smile Vun Group (SVG), a joint venture between Manish Vij's Vun Network and Harish Bahl's Smile Group, had announced the launch of PrecisionMatch. SVG Media operates performance, mobile, data targeting and rich media businesses such as Tyroo, PrecisionMatch, DGM and PlatformPlay.
