FoxyMoron bags digital marketing duties of Celkon Mobiles

Celkon mobile phone solutions and wireless technologies has assigned its digital marketing duties to FoxyMoron, a digital media agency. The Delhi branch of the agency will handle the account.

This includes managing the brand's presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

Celkon Mobiles

Celkon Mobiles recently shifted its focus to digital marketing. FoxyMoron's campaign for the brand, titled 'Campus-O-Logy', targeted young college students and promoted the newly launched Campus Series of smartphones, A20, A60 and A63 (https://www.facebook.com/CelkonMobiles). The campaign attempted at creating conversations among students and helped them with tips, memes and other things.

Earlier, Celkon has sponsored sports tournaments as a part of its marketing activities.

On the decision of appointing FoxyMoron as its digital agency, Pradeep Yerraguntla, head, digital management, Celkon, says, "At the core of our marketing strategies is the need for a detailed strategic and creative alliance to take Celkon Mobiles, the brand, forward to the highest level."

Our aim will be to leverage their innovative products to build conversations with young consumers as they enjoy experimenting with exciting innovative technology products. The Campus-O-Logy campaign will look to convert regular mobile users to evangelists of the Campus series by Celkon Mobile."

Celkon is a Hyderabad-based company that offers an array of mobile handsets in the range of Rs 1,000-20,000. It has sold over 1 million units. The brand's digital activity on Facebook started in 2010.

Some of the clients handled by FoxyMoron are L'Oreal India Group (Maybelline New York, Garnier, L'Oreal Paris, Kerastase), AXN India, McVitie's India, Castrol India, Rajasthan Royals, SAB Miller (Foster's, Miller High Life, Knock Out), WWM Group (Part of the Times of India Group and includes Femina, BBC Good Homes) and FCUK, among others.
