Grey Worldwide has promoted Vishnu Srivatsav and Goral Ajmera as senior executive creative directors. They will together head the creative functions of the agency's Mumbai office. Both Srivatsav and Ajmera will report to Grey's national creative director duo, Malvika Mehra and Amit Akali.

Before the promotion, Srivatsav donned the role of executive creative director and Ajmera was group senior creative director.

On the development, Mehra says, "It always feels great to be able to promote talent from within. And, both Vishnu and Goral are as 'home grown' as you can get. Their relentless pursuit to do better work, their hunger to shoulder responsibility, their 'can do' attitude and their immense talent made them an obvious choice for the job."

Akali adds that Ajmera and Srivatsav have their task cut out. "Last year was a good year for Grey Mumbai, with the office accounting for a lot of our awards - The Goa Fest Grand Prix for Killer and our three metal haul at Cannes. Businesswise too, it's been great; we won Times Pro and Tea Board, amongst others. Now, all they need to do is better it. No pressure!" he states.

Srivatsav, who has been in the industry for nearly 14 years, has spent more than a decade with Grey. He has earlier headed the creative teams at Grey Chennai, Bengaluru and Delhi. Some of the agencies he has worked with include R K Swamy BBDO and Draftfcb Ulka.

Ajmera was one of the first people to be hired by Mehra and Akali, when they joined the agency. In her 14-year career, she has worked with Enterprise, Leo Burnett, O&M and JWT. Ajmera has been with Grey for the past three years.

Between them, Srivatsav and Ajmera have worked on various brands such as Reliance Mobile, Indian Oil, Honda Brio, DHL, Duracell, Britannia, Bajaj Allianz Insurance, Bharti AXA Insurance, Suzlon, Vimal, Muthoot Finance, Killer, Kinderjoy, 3M, Dell and Times Pro.

The duo has also clinched many awards at Cannes, The One Show, London International Awards, World Press Awards, Adfest, Young Guns, Spikes Asia, Abby and Emvies.

Speaking on their new assignment, Ajmera says, "We're excited about this new and exciting phase in our career. The aim is to embrace new age thinking, create work that people remember and most importantly, have fun." Vishnu adds, "We're kicked about this new mandate. And we're keen to get the momentum gained from the last year and use it to create more good work."
