Everest bags Pantaloon Fashion Retail's creative duties

Pantaloons Fashion Retail, a part of the Aditya Birla Group, has appointed Everest to handle its creative and strategic requirements. The agency's Mumbai office will service the business.

This is the second business under the Aditya Birla Group for Everest, which also handles More Retail.

Speaking about the appointment, Shital Mehta, CEO, Pantaloons Fashion Retail, says, "We were looking for a team who could provide a new perspective and put in the necessary effort as a partner to take the brand to the next level. Everest has a young and energetic team and they will be a good match for us at this point of time since we are poised for substantial growth in market share and revenue in the multi brand retail industry."

Gaurav Chakravarty, head, marketing and loyalty, Pantaloons Fashion Retail, adds that the agency will help build brand equity.

Agreeing with him, Rahul Jauhari, national creative director, Everest, says that it's always fulfilling when an existing client gives more business. "We are delighted Aditya Birla Group has entrusted us with Pantaloons," he says.

Pantaloons' first store was opened at Gariahat, Kolkata, in 1997. Since then, the multi-brand apparel chain has expanded to 72 stores across 37 cities and towns housing more than 100 brands. The brand has an in-house design studio and its own labels.

Everest is a full service creative agency, which was set up in 1946. The agency has offices in Delhi and Mumbai, and representation in Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
