Srinivasan K Swamy to lead the Indian delegation to AdAsia 2013

Srinivasan K Swamy, chairman, R K Swamy BBDO and president, India chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA), has been nominated as leader of the Indian delegation to AdAsia 2013.

Swamy says, "It is a privilege to represent the country at such a prestigious international event." He adds that India had a very special place in the recent history of the AdAsia movement, having hosted two of the best events in India in 2003 and 2011. He says AdAsia 2013 will be very interesting and informative.

Pradeep Guha, chairman, Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA), says, "This year, AdAsia is being held in Hanoi during November 11-14. There is great interest in this event as there is a galaxy of very good confirmed speakers and Vietnam is an emerging economic leader. Besides, the region is known for its natural beauty and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ha Long Bay."

AdAsia will be the 28th Asian Advertising Congress. As a social forum, AdAsia presents an outstanding opportunity to develop new friendships with other Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA) members, share experiences, explore common goals and together devise imaginative new solutions to highlight the unparalleled potential of the Asian region as a market for international investors.

The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IC-IAA) was incorporated in July 1991, to constitute a local Chapter of the global body, with a view to provide members direct links to the international advertising and communications industry. IAA, in India, promotes the freedom to compete through responsible commercial speech, and defends consumer choice made possible by commercial speech.
