Prasad Venkatraman joins Black Swan Life

Venkatraman, who was earlier with Percept/H, will join as senior creative director.

Mumbai-based independent agency, Black Swan Life, has appointed Prasad Venkatraman as senior creative director. Venkatraman, who was creative director with Percept/H, joined the agency on Wednesday. He will report to Sukumar Menon, chairman and chief creative officer, Black Swan Life.

On joining Black Swan Life, Venkatraman says, "When an agency pampers every single piece of communication with love, rather than as if it's coming out of a shop-floor, it naturally becomes destined for greatness." He believes that he has found this in the veins of Black Swan Life and that's what makes it feel like coming to his "home planet".

With nine years of experience, Venkatraman began his career in advertising with Publicis Ambience in 2004. He has also worked with McCann, Draftfcb Ulka and BBDO, Sri Lanka. An alumnus of MICA, Ahmedabad, Venkatraman has worked on brands including Vaseline, Maybelline (L'Oreal), The Economic Times, Ditto TV, Onida, Nerolac, Cathay Pacific, Parachute Aftershower, Shanti Badam Amla, Hero MotoCorp, Big Cinemas, EsselWorld Theme Park, UB Group, Canon, Olympus, Pantaloons, Nirlep non-stick cookware, The MobileStore, Anando Milk and Sunburn Music Festival. His works have been recognised at several international awards such as Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia and Asia Pacific Adfest, among others.

Black Swan Life was started by Sukumar Menon, who was with Leo Burnett before he started the venture in 2009. The agency's current creative team comprises eight people.
