Milind Karnik gets additional responsibility at Hathway

Karnik leaves his position of company secretary as he takes over the responsibility to spearhead Phase III and IV digitisation expansion of Hathway.

Milind Karnik has been given additional responsibilities of heading the commercial function pan-India at Hathway Cable & Datacom.

Karnik, who had joined the Multi System Operator (MSO) in 1998, was designated as president, company secretary and compliance officer. While he will continue to be president, he recently resigned from his post of company secretary and compliance officer at Hathway Cable & Datacom.

He has been replaced by Ajay Singh as CS and compliance officer.

In his additional role, Karnik will look after the commercial business of the MSO - hotels and other commercial establishments of the company in India, he tells afaqs!. He will also take care of the expansion of Hathway in the Phase III and IV of the digital addressable system (DAS).

Before joining Hathway Cable & Datacom, he had worked with Hoechst India and CitiCorp.

For the record, in December 2012, the company appointed Jagdish Kumar as CEO, replacing K Jayaraman. Kumar was non-executive director of Hathway since 2008.
