The account will be serviced out of the agency's Gurgaon office.

MEC India has bagged the media duties of GoDaddy, one of the largest technology providers dedicated to small businesses, on the back of a multi-agency pitch.

The agency's Gurgaon office will service the account.

On winning the account, Roopam Garg, head, MEC North, says, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner GoDaddy on their exciting journey. GoDaddy is all about empowering people in their quest for success and we are happy to play a small role in this great endeavour."

Founded in 1997, GoDaddy claims to have serviced over 12 million customers and manage more than 57 million domains globally. GoDaddy has identified India as a priority market for their global expansion. The company recently signed on Mithun Chakraborty with a view to democratise internet-enabled businesses in India.

MEC India, a media and planning agency and founding partner of GroupM, manages a roster of clients including, Colgate Palmolive, Britannia, Nivea, FlipKart, Citibank, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters, General Electric, Zee Network, Reliance Group and CavinKare.
