The winners for the eighth edition of the Pepper Creative Awards 2014 have been announced. The annual creative competition is jointly held by The Advertising Club Cochin & Pepper Creative Awards Trust. The Agency of the Year award was awarded on the basis of maximum points received on all categories of the competition. Radio Mango won the Advertiser of the Year award. Apart from that winners for the gold, silver, bronze and finalists category have also been announced.
The event was inaugurated by actor Jayasurya. Pepper 2014, the annual creative awards competition of the club, opened for agencies from all over South India, received more than 100 entries from 75 agencies vying for the honours in 105 competition categories.
The entries were judged in Mumbai on March 23-24 by a three-member panel comprising Priti Nair, director, Curry-Nation; Prathap Suthan, managing partner, Bang in the Middle; and Raj Nair, CCO, BMB India.
"Our endeavour is to make the creative award competition of the Cochin Ad Club as a globally benchmarked premium event every year. We hope the legend of Pepper and the creative spirit of the present would gel well to create a niche for Cochin in the global creative space," said Oommen Kurian, chairman, Pepper Creative Awards Trust.
Rajeev Menon, president, Advertising Club Cochin read out the welcome address at the function while T Vinaykumar, secretary, Pepper Creative Awards Trust proposed the vote of thanks. Other committee members such as U S Kutty, R Madhava Menon, P K Natesh, K V Venugopal, Sandeep Nayar, Lakshman Varma, Anil James, Raju Menon, G Sreenath, Reghu Ramachandran, Chitra Prakash, T Sudeep Kumar, C A Rajiv and A T Rajeev also participated in the event.
