OgilvyOne retains Agency of the Year title at DMAi Awards

This year, a whopping 400 entries were received from 70 agencies.

OgilvyOne Worldwide successfully defended its title of Agency of the Year at the DMAi Awards 2014 held on May 7. The agency bagged a total of eight gold, seven silver and five bronze metals across categories ranging from Effectiveness and Craft to Innovative Use of Technology and Loyalty.

The Power of Shunya campaign

Last year, OgilvyOne Worldwide had spurred India to its best ever performance at the show, winning five out of eight metals.

The agency's winning campaigns this year include The Power of Shunya, Vodafone Nimbu Mirchi, Renewing Relations the Economist Way, Moxie Shower Station, C suites discover an all new Google, A YouTube Pre-roll You Can't Skip, India's most viewed banner, ever, The old fashioned way to cut CPA 89 per cent, Driving MEs into the Big League, Changing how Indian women dress, Membership Rewards 'Hot Rewards', and others.

WATConsult bagged two gold awards in the Marketing Effectiveness category. The first was for 'Website Development and Marketing' for Human Touch of Chemistry, an initiative by Tata Chemicals; while the other was for 'Lead based Search Campaign' for Reliance Property Solutions.

WATConsult was nominated for its Dr Reddy's Laboratory campaign and Mother Dairy - Ma jaisa koi nahi.

iProspectCommunicate2 dominated the DMAi Echo Awards, winning in each category it was nominated in, a total of five awards. This includes three gold and two bronze awards across various digital marketing categories.

The DMAi Awards in alliance with DMA International Echo Awards honour outstanding innovation, originality and marketing impact in the field of marketing and advertising.

iProspectCommunicate2 and Cleartrip won gold in the Travel and Hospitality category for API Wizardry. iProspectCommunicate2, along with Remit2India, won the gold in the Financial Products and Services category for Dynamic Exchange Rates.

Its Mumbai Marathon 2013 campaign for Standard Chartered Bank bagged gold for Social Media Campaign.

iProspectCommunicate2 also won a bronze in Best Creative Use of Search with Remit2India for Dynamic Exchange Rates and a bronze for Best Insurance Services for ICICI Lombard's Hyper-Contextual Targeting Engine.

The agency received five nominations at the DMAi Echo Awards and won a metal for each nomination.

Ethinos Digital Marketing added another honour to its list of awards and recognitions, with a double dose of victory at the awards ceremony of the DMAi Echo India Awards 2014. Ethinos won a gold in the 'Marketing Effectiveness for Not-for-Profit' category for its 'Send Shiva to Sochi' campaign, for Olympic Gold Quest and won a silver in the 'Marketing Effectiveness for Publishing/Entertainment' category for its 'NDTV Toyota UCC' campaign, for NDTV India.

The third annual edition of the awards celebrating the best in the digital world saw a mammoth participation with more than 400 entries sent from 70 agencies all across India.

DMAi Awards 2014 was the most competitive in its history with the highest number of submissions received till date and the most recognised judging board yet amassed.

The DMA International (DMAi) ECHOTM Awards, brought to India by DMAi, spot and honour the finest marketing and advertising campaigns on the basis of their originality, response strategy, interactivity and marketing impact.

The focus will now shift to the DMA International Echo awards that are ranked among the oldest and most revered effectiveness awards on the calendar.
