Anupam Kher's show on Colors to replace 'Mission Sapne'

Starting July 6, the celebrity chat show will air every Sunday at 8 pm.

Taking its "entertainment" element a notch higher, Viacom18's flagship Hindi general entertainment channel, Colors, is about to launch a celebrity chat show, hosted by Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher.

Produced by Kher's Actor Prepares Production, 'The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai' will launch on July 6 and air every Sunday at 8 pm, replacing 'Mission Sapne'.

This is Kher's second show with Colors, first being Anil Kapoor's '24' in which he played Wasim Khan. In the past, Kher has also hosted a very popular kids' show for SAB TV called 'Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle'.

The show aims not just to provide a peek into the lives of celebrities, but give the viewers' inspiration to learn from those they idolise. These are stories of love, passion, perseverance and kindness. The show will provides viewers an unprecedented glimpse into the lives of their favourite celebrities, as they reveal stories of faith, hope, struggle, victory and success.

'The Anupam Kher Show' will witness celebrities from different walks of life sharing their experiences. The series will kick off with Shah Rukh Khan. The subsequent episodes will feature artistes and prominent personalities like Mahesh Bhatt and Alia Bhatt, David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Kangana Ranaut, Kapil Sharma, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, and cricketer Yuvraj Singh.

Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors, says, "The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai will bring to light the extraordinary experiences which have shaped some of India's most revered personalities. While Mission Sapne had celebrities living the life of a common man, with Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, we will see a new set of celebrities talking about their journey from 'aam' to 'khaas'. Their battles will inspire many and make viewers look at them in a different light."

Kher adds, "Having experienced the bitter and sweet sides of life first-hand, I was looking for an outlet to share stories of self-motivation with audiences to tell them that they are not alone. During the course of the series, viewers will get an insight into life with the ultimate learning that nothing is impossible if you just believe."

The channel has planned a robust digital campaign. The channel has launched a twitter hash tag for the show (#TheAnupamKherShow) as it promises to give latest updates on the show through its own handle (@ColorsTV) and Kher's (@AnupamPKher) on Twitter. The fans will also get access to exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Colors has got Jyothi Laboratories' Henko on board as the 'powered by' sponsor for the show.
