Hindu Young World: On its own

The kids supplement from The Hindu has been recommissioned as a separate offering from the Group since last Friday.

Young World, a kids supplement from The Hindu has been moved out of the newspaper and is being launched as a separate offering from the paper. Earlier, the supplement was delivered on Tuesday but from now on the paper will be delivered on Fridays.

The supplement in the tabloid of glaze newsprint is a 8-pager priced at Rs 5 for the consumer. The annual subscription for it - as mentioned on the website - is Rs 349. The group has also launched an animated video of children to promote the new offering. The kids in this video are doing activities which are related to the content of the newspaper.

Young World was a features supplement with the main paper that offered information on kids related subjects such as books, movies, music, games, festivals, events, science and engaged with this audience via different contests. The content mix of the paper remains the same.
