Sommnath Sengupta appointed Kinetic India's NCD

Sommnath Sengupta has been appointed as the national creative director of WPP owned OOH agency, Kinetic India. He joins the agency from Madison Outdoor Media Solutions (MOMS) where he was the creative director for the last three years handling brands like Sony (TV channel), Tata Docomo, Pidilite, Levi's, ITC, Asian Paints, Marico and Kotak Mahindra Bank to name a few.

At Kinetic, he will report to Amit Sarkar, COO. Speaking about his new role, Sengupta says, "My immediate responsibility is to raise the benchmark of the creativity at Kinetic with new edge digital and innovative ideas and work closely with the team to serve our existing as well as new clients." Sengupta comes with 13 years of experience in industries that varied from design, events and production houses to advertising.

He worked as an art director for few years before joining Ogilvy Action, where he spent five long years. As associate creative director, Sengupta handled brands like Hutch, Vodafone, HSBC, Tata Sky, Lakme, Lakme Fashion Week, Axe, Cadbury and Axis Bank. He also had a short stint with Bates Wallstreet as creative director.

In his decade-long career, Sengupta has won 30 awards including the Emvies and Abbies to name a couple. Sengupta is also a successful commercial artist. His work has been exhibited with different art galleries and art festivals and he does commissioned art for different corporate firms.
