EMVIES, which honors the best work done by media agencies, has started case study presentations from September 9-12, 2014. Organised by the Advertising Club, the award ceremony will be held in Mumbai on September 17th.
The EMVIES recognises the outstanding work done by the media agencies. Creative agencies may enter if they can produce proof of their role in the media buying and the release. EMVIES 2014 will reward the work done during 1st April 2013-31st March 2014.
The entries are judged on a two-stage process, which focuses on rewarding work that meets the following criteria: Originality & Uniqueness, Impact on Client's Business, Relevance to Brand and its Communication. There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze awards given away in each category.
The 2014 edition will witness additions in the awards categories. There will now be two EMVIES trophy for every winning entry - one for the agency and one for the client. There is also a new sub-category for the Best Use of Analytics/Data Technology in the Best Media Research category.
There is also a Best Media Innovation Category introduced for agencies not exceeding Rs 50 crore in annual billings (with no affiliation to any global agency network or large media independent). Also, the Best Presentation Award for each day of the Round II presentations will be based on a combined score of the audience and the judges.
There are 12 categories under which media agencies can submit their entries. These include media strategy, media innovation (print, out of home, ambient media, cinema, radio, digital, events/experiential marketing, direct marketing, branded content and sponsorships), media research/analytics, integrated campaign, ongoing media campaign, Grand EMVIE, media agency of the year, media client of the year, implementation team of the year, media innovation from media agencies, young EMVIE of the year and best use of a Bollywood celebrity in media (powered by Zoom).
