Taranjeet Singh appointed sales head, Twitter India

Singh joins from BBC Advertising where he looked after the revenue and business strategy for BBC World News and www.bbc.com.

Taranjeet Singh will head sales for Twitter India. He will be based out of the company's Gurgaon office. Singh will look at increasing the commercial opportunities for Twitter in India and work closely with brands and agencies to maximise the value of real-time marketing on the world's largest platform for live, public conversations.

Singh was sales director, South Asia for BBC Advertising and was responsible for the revenue and business strategy for BBC World News and the website www.bbc.com. Prior to joining the BBC, he held various positions at Outlook Publishing, including heading advertising sales and business development in Northern India.

Singh, an alumnus of Amity Business School and a current student of General Management Leadership Program at INSEAD, brings to the table 19 years of work experience. He has sales and business development experience and a comprehensive understanding of the media industry.
