GEC Watch: Zee hops onto No. 2

Loss in viewership numbers have resulted in Colors slipping to the third spot.

Star Plus continues to rule the roost and, despite losing numbers, is way ahead of the second contender in the genre. As per TAM data (HSM, C&S, 4+) provided by a subscriber, the channel grossed 622989 GVTs, down from previous week's 645013 GVTs.

Zee TV, once again, toppled Colors to occupy the second spot with 447944 GVTs, as opposed to 450944 GVTs last week. Colors, meanwhile, settled with 434457 GVTs (last week 454157 GVTs) in the week ended February 14.

At No. 4 is Life OK that clocked 329870 GVTs (last week 309669 GVTs), followed by Multi Screen Media's Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Television with 285358 GVTs (last week 293685) and 253193 (last week 235501), respectively.

Zee Anmol and Star Utsav, the FTA channels, had a close call in the week 7 of TAM. While the former ended the week with 92916 GVTs (last week 95518), the latter clocked 92621 GVTs (last week 90551). Rishtey, the free-to-air channel from Viacom18, garnered 53522 GVTs in the week, as compared to last week's 57080 GVTs.

Big Magic registered 46050 GVTs, while it had closed the previous week with 53028 GVTs.

Sony Pal closed the week with 24613 GVTs (last week 25566), Zindagi with 17417 GVTs (last week 18058), Epic with 8910 GVTs (last week 7744 GVTs) and Sahara One with 8643 GVTs (last week 9789 GVTs).
