Maximum violations of ASCI's code were recorded in the health, personal care and education categories.

The Advertising Standards Council of India's Consumer Complaints Council (CCC), a self-regulatory industry body, upheld 151 out of 201 advertisements in January 2015.

Out of the 151 advertisements against which complaints were upheld, 90 belonged to Personal and Healthcare category, followed by the Education category with 40 advertisements.

These objectionable ads belonged to health care companies such as Emami Ltd (She Comfort Ultra), Wipro Ltd (Wipro Safewash Liquid Detergent), Abbott India (Digene), P&G (Oral B Sensitive Super Thin Toothburush). Many health establishments' advertisements were also found to be misleading or false or not adequately/scientifically substantiated, and hence violating ASCI's Code. Some of these are VCare Super Speciality Clinic, Parore Hospital, Delhi IVF & Fertility Research Centre, among others.

In the Education category, five ads were found to be objectionable. These included ads by Global Institute of Fashion Technology, Invotech Precision Engineers, SGB Group of Institute, London School of Business & Certified Accountant (LSBCA) and Career Launcher.

Three ads were found to be misleading in the automobiles category, namely those by Skoda Auto (Skoda Rapid) and Volkswagen Group (Volkswagen Polo).
