Dentsu Aegis Media's media agency, Carat Media, has won the media duties for consumer electronics major Sony India.

The incumbent agency on the account is IPG Mediabrands' Initiative.

The account size is estimated to be Rs. 180 crore.

Carat Media has won a number of businesses this year including Dixcy Textiles, producers of the national brand Dixcy Scott, and IndiaFirst Life Insurance.

For the record, Carat is one of the six global network brands of Dentsu Aegis Network, a part of Dentsu Inc. The other companies in the network are iProspect, Isobar, Posterscope, Vizeum and the ad agency Dentsu.
