IPG's BPN bags Bharat Petroleum business

The agency won the media duties of BPCL following a multi-agency pitch.

BPN, a full-service media planning and buying agency from the IPG Mediabrands network, has won the media mandate for Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), after a multi-agency pitch.

Highly placed sources have confirmed the news to afaqs!.

Previously, the media mandate for the account was with Mudra Max.

BPN is the third agency from the IPG Mediabrands stable; the other two are Initiative and UM. IPG Mediabrands is part of the Interpublic Group, a global advertising and media network.

In 1976, Burmah Shell Group of Companies was taken over by the Government of India to form Bharat Refineries Limited. The following year, it was renamed Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
