GEC Watch: Top 3 Hindi GECs lose viewers; Life OK topples Sab TV

GECs that gained viewership in week 16 include Life OK, Sony Entertainment Television and &TV.

Star Plus, the leading Hindi general entertainment channel, lost around 56520 GVTs in week 16. The channel, as per TAM data (C&S, 4+, HSM), garnered 545047 GVTs, as against 601567 GVTs in the previous week.

At No.2 is Colors which lost 5393 GVTs in week 16 and settled with 404374 GVTs. The flagship Hindi GEC from Viacom18 had recorded 409767 GVTs in week 15.

Zee TV continued to be at the third spot with 377939 GVTs, down from 388914 in the last week.

Life OK, meanwhile, registered a marginal growth in viewership. It gained 719 GVTs and concluded the week with 288556 GVTs.

Sab TV lost 23904 GVTs, and ended the week with 271638 GVTs, while its older sibling, Sony Entertainment Television, added 10532 GVTs and closed the week with 231751 GVTs.

&TV occupied the sixth spot with 98588 GVTs, lesser than last week's 88321 GVTs.

Zee Anmol, Star Utsav and Rishtey, the free-to-air channels, ended the week with 95016 GVTs (last week 92002 GVTs), 94690 GVTs (last week 95085 GVTs) and 52447 GVTs (last week 58527 GVTs), respectively.

Sony Pal garnered 46291 GVTs, as opposed to 44586 GVTs in the previous week. Sahara One came in last with 7508 GVTs (last week 6700 GVTs).
