Rohit Ohri named CEO, Dentsu Asia Pacific; to lead from Singapore

Ohri will relocate to Singapore. Meanwhile, Bhasin will take charge of all Dentsu Aegis Network assets in India.

Dentsu Aegis Network has named Rohit Ohri CEO, Dentsu Asia Pacific (excluding Japan, which is Dentsu's home turf). He will relocate to Singapore.

Ashish Bhasin, chairman and CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia, will take over Ohri's duties in India. Bhasin will now be responsible for all Dentsu Aegis Network assets in India, including the creative agency front.

In a press release, Nick Waters, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network, Asia Pacific, says, "Rohit has done a fabulous job transforming Dentsu in India... (we) are really looking forward to working more closely with Rohit to unleash the full potential of the business."

Hiroaki Charlie Sano, executive officer, Dentsu Inc. and CEO, Dentsu Branded Agencies, Dentsu Aegis Network, adds, "... Rohit shares our creative ambition and strong vision for Dentsu and the way we work with our clients. I'm delighted he will be taking on a more central position within the network to help guide the business outside of Japan."
