MediaCom wins mydala account

The win followed a pitch against IPG's Lodestar.

MediaCom has won the media business for, following a pitch against IPG's Lodestar. Mydala is an online and mobile coupon and discount marketing platform site in India, which is now focusing on driving growth and new acquisitions through mass media brand building activities.

Commenting on the win, Anisha Singh, co-Founder & CEO, mydala, says, "mydala is growing at a phenomenal pace and working with MediaCom will help in pushing the boundaries and reaching out to our customer base in innovative and creative ways."

Says Niti Kumar, General Manager, MediaCom Delhi, who led the pitch, "Ecommerce is the buzziest category on media today, and working with a unique model like mydala will be a great learning experience for the team. We are super excited!"

MediaCom recently won the account for SAB Miller from Starcom. In addition to that, Mediacom India manages a blue chip client roster including P&G, VW Group, Tata Docomo, Future Group, Dell, Shell,, Vespa, SAB Miller and Mars-Wrigley.

Established in 2009, mydala is a promotion-led hyper-local online/ mobile marketing platform for brands involved in providing consumer products and services. Mydala claims to be doing over 6.6 million transactions per month with 80 per cent of these from mobile platforms.
