Coty, a prominent name in the beauty business worldwide, has appointed ZenithOptimedia Group, part of Publicis Groupe, as its agency of record (AOR), to manage its global media communications business, particularly for print and TV.
As part of this media mandate win, Publicis Groupe will retain the business in Germany and Austria, and expand to 13 new markets across the globe. The contract, besides covering North America, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, US, UK and Germany, also includes India in its ambit.
The contract will take effect from July 1 and will see ZenithOptimedia Group lead a digital transformation programme for Coty, as the company seeks to maximise the opportunities presented by digital platforms and new technologies.
"Selecting a global agency partner is in line with our global efficiency strategy and another step towards our plan to reinvest in our power brands. We were really impressed by the spirit and enthusiasm of ZenithOptimedia. They showed strength across all media capabilities - particularly in data analytics - and demonstrated a truly integrated and transparent approach to media communications," says Bart Becht, chairman and interim CEO, Coty.
"We are absolutely delighted to be able to expand our long-standing relationship with Coty. They are a leading company in fragrances, cosmetics and skin & body care, and we are really excited at the prospect of helping them move to the next level in their marketing and communications. This win is testament to our Live ROI! approach and our truly integrated way of working," adds Adrian Sayliss, COO, Worldwide, ZenithOptimedia.
