DishTV adds nine Malayalam channels for the Kerala market

DishTV now claims to offer a total of 27 channels and services in the state, highest in the industry.

DTH service provider Dish TV has added nine new Malayalam channels in its bouquet, for its viewers in the state of Kerala. With this, DishTV claims to offer a total of 27 channels and services in the state, highest in the industry.

The latest additions include Kaumudy (GEC at channel number 713), Reporter (news at 722), TV News (news at 726), People (news at 728), Jeevan (GEC at 729), Safari (infotainment at 731), Kochu (kids entertainment at 734), Kappa (youth entertainment at 735) and Goodness (devotional at 738).

Announcing the new development, Salil Kapoor, COO, DishTV India, says, "DishTV has always taken the lead in enhancing the value proposition and believes in providing the maximum and the best in entertainment to its subscribers. Dish TV is one of Asia Pacific's largest direct-to-home (DTH) companies, and part of India's media conglomerate Zee Group. It claims to have on its platform more than 500 channels and services, including 22 audio channels and over 44 HD channels and services.
