He has earlier worked with The Times of India, The People Group and Jaypee Group in various sales and marketing roles. Welcoming Mathur to SVG's leadership team, Manish Vij, founder and CEO, SVG Media, says, "Akshay's rich experience, client relationships and his deep understanding of Komli's business and the internal environment make him the natural choice for leading Komli's next phase of growth under the SVG umbrella. In August 2015, SVG Media announced the merger of Komli Media India which now functions as an independent entity under SVG Media, with the latter serving as an umbrella company. As a combined entity, the new SVG Media Group claims to have consolidated India revenues of over US $50 million.
