Raj Nayak, the newly elected President of the Advertising Club has been on various industry bodies including the Indian Broadcasters Foundation, Advertising Standards Council of India & The International Advertising Association-India Chapter. He was also chosen earlier this year to lead the Indian delegation to Ad Asia 2015 to be held in Taipei in November.
Nayak replaces Pratap Bose, chairman and co-founder of The Social Street, who will now be the immediate past president.
The new office bearers elected to the Advertising Club are- Bhaskar Das, group CEO of Zee Media Corporation, as Vice President, senior media & marketing professional, Vikram Sakhuja as the Secretary, Chief Marketing Officer at Aditya Birla Group-Financial Services, Ajay Kakkar as the Joint Secretary and CEO of IPG Mediabrands India, Shashi Sinha as theTreasurer.
The other members elected to the Managing Committee are Rohit Gupta (President, Network Sales, Licensing and Telephony, Multi Screen Media), Punitha Arumugam (Director, Agency Business at Google India), Namrata Tata (National Head Sales, English Cluster at Viacom18 Media), Ajay Chandwani (Director at Percept Limited), Pradeep Dwivedi (Chief Corporate Sales & Marketing Officer at Dainik Bhaskar Group), Vikas Khanchandani (Director at AIDEM Ventures Pvt. Ltd& Zirca Digital Solutions), Viral Jani (Head of TV Partnership India at Twitter).
Ramesh Narayan, founder, Canco Advertising had been co-opted to the Managing Committee. Prasoon Joshi, CEO of McCann World Group India and Chairman (Asia Pacific), has been inducted as special invitee and creative advisor to the Ad Club. Satyaki Ghosh, Director-Consumer Product Division L'Oreal India, has also been inducted as a special Invitee.
