Twitter introduces Video App Card

Launched on September 25, the card enables advertisers to use the power of video to promote their mobile apps on Twitter.

Twitter, a micro-blogging platform, has launched a feature for advertisers, globally, called 'Video App Card' which will aid them to harness the power of video in promoting their mobile apps on the platform. For the record, Mobile App Promotion (MAP) advertisers from India include brands such as Lakmé India (@ILoveLakme) and Namshi (@Namshidotcom). To get started, advertisers can log onto ads.twitter.com or visit the Help Center to learn more.

The Video App Card comes with a host of features as listed below:

• Attract higher quality app installs: The Video App Card shows people a preview of your app, resulting in a more educated - and more qualified - user. In beta, this highly engaging format helped some advertisers nearly triple their conversion rate from app click to install (Source: Twitter internal data).

• Captivate your audience: The Video App Card auto-plays in timelines, giving advertisers an opportunity to engage audiences with attention-grabbing content at all points throughout the day.

• Connect with users in a format that they consume frequently on Twitter: Recent research shows that 82 per cent of Twitter users watch videos on Twitter, and 90 per cent of video views on Twitter are on mobile devices.

• Leverage unique targetting capabilities: One can use the entire suite of targetting tools, including interest, keyword, device, location and tailored audiences to ensure that advertisers are reaching people most likely to be interested in their app, at just the right time.
