Sulekha.com appoints Soumendu Ganguly as head of marketing

He was vice-president, marketing and customer delivery head at Shiksha.com.

Sulekha.com has roped in Soumendu Ganguly as head of marketing, a move directed towards brand building. Ganguly will head marketing and lead Sulekha's brand building efforts in digital and offline. He would also look after the performance marketing division of Sulekha.com.

Commenting on his appointment, Ganguly says, "I am excited about the opportunity I have here at Sulekha.com. Even though it is one of the established internet brands in India with fantastic topline and bottomline growth, people haven't really connected with Sulekha.com. The challenge is to bring Sulekha.com into mainstream mind space and make it a brand millennials love."

Ganguly worked for around six years with Infoedge and held various positions across functions for brands like Naukri, 99acres, Jeevansathi and Shiksha. He has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT, Raipur.

Sulekha.com is a digital platform for local service need fulfilment in over 40 cities, connecting tens of millions of users and local businesses in 200+ need categories such as computer training, serviced apartments, wooden flooring, party catering, baby-sitting, elder care, yoga lessons, kitchen renovation, wedding photography, moving-packing, pest control, event planning and auto repair.
