The afaqs! Brand Owners' Summit, powered by Amagi, is set to make its debut in Mumbai. The day-long event will be held at The Westin Mumbai Garden City on December 9.
At the Mumbai edition of the event, Karthi Marshan, (senior executive vice-president and head, Group marketing, Kotak Mahindra Bank), Gourav Rakshit (chief executive officer, Shaadi.com), Gayatri Yadav (head, marketing and communications, Star India), Sanjay Tripathy (senior executive vice-president, HDFC Life), and Baskar Subramanian (co-founder strategy, investments and R&D, Amagi), will talk about the journey of their respective brands.
The individual sessions will be followed by a panel discussion on 'Handling challenges and opportunities of building a brand in the start-up world'. The panel will consist of Revant Bhate (head of marketing, Faasos), Shantanu Jha (CEO, Ziffi), Nikhil Rungta (chief marketing officer, Housing.com) and Naveen Kukreja (Group CMO, PolicyBazaar, and managing director, PaisaBazaar). Nimesh Shah, head maven and co-founder, Windchimes Communications, will moderate the discussion.
Post the panel discussion, there will be a session on 'Decoding the trick of winning the diverse Indian consumers by Super Marketwala' convened by Damodar Mall, chief executive officer, Reliance Retail.
The summit will conclude with a session on 'How to stay relevant in the minds of time-strapped consumers' - the success story of India's Amul girl by Rahul daCunha, director and owner, daCunha Communications, in conversation with Ashwini Gangal, executive editor, afaqs!
The Brand Owners' Summit was first held in Ahmedabad in 2013 (the city also hosted the third edition in the following year). It has since then, been organised twice in Kolkata and Chennai, and once in Bengaluru. This year, the event was held for the first time in Delhi on October 21.
