Publicitas has appointed Partho Roy as managing director. The media and marketing services company has reformed its structure for the Asia-Pacific region. In order to align its services more closely with the complex Asian market, the company has decided to split its structure into two regions. Henceforth, North Asia and Australia will be run out of Hong Kong, while Southeast Asia and India out of Singapore.
India and Southeast Asia will be overseen by Singapore-based, regional managing director Lee Walsh. He joins Publicitas from Carat where he was regional director. Walsh has an experience of 14 years in digital marketing at agencies and internet start-ups. His digital expertise has been awarded by DMA Echo, Media Federation and IAB Australia.
"I am certain our new de-centralised structure in Asia-Pacific will be beneficial to advertisers, agencies and media owners alike", says global CEO Jorg Nurnberg. "It allows us to respond quickly to local market trends. Walsh and Roy are experienced managers who have proved their merit in the past. They lead fantastic teams who will continue to improve client and media owner services," he adds.
