The TAM Media Research's division AdEx has provided an overview of the advertising ad volume for the Travel and Tourism category, on different platforms, for the period between January and June 2015.
The report looks at advertising in television, print, and radio, with the entire analysis based on ad volumes expressed in secondages or column centimetres. The figures should be taken only as indicative, and not absolute.
According to the report, advertising for the Travel and Tourism category on radio, print, and TV saw a growth of 33 per cent, 9 per cent and 7 per cent respectively, during January-June 2015, as compared to the same period in the previous year.
Among the mediums, TV had a 50 per cent share of this category's ad insertions, followed by radio with 40 per cent share.
The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat was the only advertiser that made it to the Top 10 list of advertisers across mediums.
Ilha De Calma-Isle of Calm topped the list of the top five new brands for all mediums. The West zone had a 45 per cent share of Travel and Tourism advertising in print in this period, while the metros grabbed 33 per cent share in print advertising.
