Scarecrow Communications' Kapil Tammal joins DDB Mudra West as ECD

Tammal will be Mumbai-based, and will report to Rahul Mathew, creative head, DDB Mudra West.

DDB Mudra West has announced the appointment of Kapil Tammal as executive creative director. In his new role, Tammal will operate from the agency's Mumbai office and will report to Rahul Mathew, creative head, DDB Mudra West.

Tammal joins from Scarecrow Communications, an independent advertising agency, where he was executive creative director, as well as design director since 2011. In addition to this, he was also one of the founding employees of the agency.

Talking about his appointment, Tammal says, "While DDB Mudra West has always been a creative powerhouse globally, what really impressed me was the rapid inroads the agency has made into the Indian market in recent times. Meeting with Sonal Dabral, (Rahul) Mathew, and Rajiv Sabnis further fuelled my belief in the agency. They are insanely creative and driven to put DDB Mudra Group on the global map. I have worked with Mathew in the past, and I eagerly look forward to team up with him again to shape the creative product at DDB Mudra West."

Dabral, who is chairman and chief creative officer, DDB Mudra Group, adds, "Tammal is not just a hugely talented and experienced creative professional, but is genuinely nice.
