nexGTv inks deal with SAB to add regional content to its offering
As a part of the deal nexGTv will have broadcasting rights of Mastiii, Dabangg, Dhamaal, Maiboli and Dillagi.
Subscription-led video entertainment app nexGTv announces its partnership with media and entertainment conglomerate SAB (Sri Adhikari Brothers) Group. As a part of the alliance, nexGTv has acquired the worldwide digital rights to broadcast the group's regional channels Mastiii, Dabangg, Dhamaal, Maiboli and Dillagi for its users across the globe.
Speaking on the announcement, Abhesh Verma, COO, nexGTv, says, "Since its inception, nexGTv has endeavoured to deliver the most tailored entertainment solutions to the rich and diverse consumer base it enjoys across the country. The partnership with SAB will allow us to curate and deliver popular regional entertainment solutions on the go to our viewers. We are confident that the latest addition will enhance our regional offering and add greater value to the mobile viewing experience of our users by providing them with seamless access to locally relevant video-based entertainment content."
It remains to be seen if this association with Adhikari Brothers will help nexGTv garner more eyeballs, which will also mean more subscription for the SVOD platform.
