Nearbuy founder uses FB Live to introduce the agency that won his pitch

In February this year, Ankur Warikoo, founder and CEO of Nearbuy (formerly Groupon India) called for a pitch using FB Live. The video, -and our story on it- became very popular.

Warikoo has now announced the name of the winner. Through an eight-minute-long FB live video, of course.

The text below the video reads: nearbuy's search for a creative agency has finally come to an end. What started as possibly India's first FB live brief from a client (on Feb 20th) resulted in 96 pitches, 24 face-to-face interactions and 3 finalists. Super happy to announce the agency that will be building brand nearbuy with us.

In the video, Warikoo introduces us to Poornima Katyal, his brand manager, who worked closely on the pitch. He also acknowledges "finalists" BBH and Publicis, before going on to introduce the winning team: Enormous, led by Ashish Khazanchi, who says in the same video, "We are a smallish.. mid-sized... agency, in our fourth year... from the time we saw the FB Live video, we realised this was a company doing things in an unusual, experimentative way. We also checked out the product... we look forward to doing some good work. Keep the faith."

"I don't think Nearbuy is going to go through a pitch process ever again," Warikoo says, "because we now know the best three agencies in this country... "
