Innocean Worldwide's Vivek Srivastava elected as president of Delhi Ad Club

At its annual general meeting held on June 29, the Delhi Advertising Club held the elections for new office bearers for this year.

In a recent development, at its annual general meeting held on June 29, 2017, the Delhi Advertising Club held the elections for new office bearers for this year. Vivek Srivastava, joint managing director of Innocean Worldwide India, was elected as president of the Delhi Ad Club.

Vivek SrivastavaAlso elected were Ajay Adhlakha (founder and CEO, Infinity Advertising) as vice president, Gaurav Chopra (Mumbai Samachar) as vice president, Raman Kumar Chugh (CEO, Hype-n-Hike Advertising) as secretary, Naresh Sachdeva (MD, Niyati Communications) as treasurer, B. Sridhar (senior media consultant, Exposure Media) as joint secretary, Umesh Sharma (CEO, Eternal Solutions) as joint secretary, R. Rajmohan (CMO, North, Malayala Manorama) as member - executive committee, Uday Mohan (managing partner, Havas Media) as member - executive committee, Abhishek Jain (group director media services, Innocean Worldwide) as member - executive committee, Naresh Khetrapal (MD, Span Communications) as member - executive committee, Rajesh Jain (chief editor, New India Herald) as member - executive committee and Vipin Kharbanda (The Tribune) as member - executive committee.

At the AGM, the outgoing president, Deepak Hiremath, managing director of Vermillion Communications, highlighted the new vision for Delhi Advertising Club which has been set into motion over the past years. He also dwelt upon the achievements of the club, a successful pub quiz which saw participation by the top 20 national agencies, the DAC SAARC Awards for creative excellence which saw entries by leading agencies - not just from Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Cochin, and Chennai, but also from neighbouring countries and an interest amongst young professionals to join the DSAC. Add to it the fact that the awards process was carried out from submission to judging by eminent jury members on an online platform for greater transparency. He also thanked the chief patron V.K. Chopra for his support and vision in making DAC SAARC Awards a reality. The financial statement for the year was laid out in the front of the members too.

Commenting on the election of the new team, Chopra says in a press release, "Change is inevitable in any organisation, and the advertising business is changing rapidly. The Delhi Ad Club needs to reflect this in its activities. I am confident that our new team, led by Vivek Srivastava, will take the club to greater heights and bring in more young professionals into its fold. In the due course of time, I foresee DAC becoming the most happening body of the advertising and communication industry in India."

On being elected as the president, Srivastava says in a press release, "We look forward to making this year count as an active one where we will fulfill the aspirations of brand communication professionals across the board by way of events and activities that encourage knowledge sharing, networking and recognition of outstanding talent. I thank the Chief Patron Mr. V.K. Chopra for his support as his guidance will be invaluable and the members of DAC for their overwhelming endorsement and seek their cooperation in the coming months."
