A look at Hotstar's new 'Billions' Campaign

The video-on-demand platform has launched its OOH creatives across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

After declaring war on torrents with 'Torrents Morghulis', Hotstar, India's video-on-demand platform, is back with another marketing campaign for its show 'Billions'. The campaign has been conceptualised by the in-house creative team at Hotstar.

The campaign follows the signature Hotstar minimalistic design approach and introduces an element of mystery and intrigue through the creatives. The quirky social media and OOH creatives feature a single QR code and an invite; viewers will be required to scan the code in order to get billions, hinting at the prospect of fast money. Upon scanning, the audience is taken to the landing page of the show 'Billions' on Hotstar Premium. The campaign aims at encouraging the audience to sample TV shows, such as 'Billions', on their unspoiled and original form.

The billboards will be placed across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and the same will also be promoted on social media platforms. The first leg of the campaign continued till November 2, followed by the second part of the communication, revealing the mystery of 'Billions' to the audience that hasn't already scanned the QR code.


Billions is a high-octane drama that examines the profits and perils of chasing the American dream. Starring Paul Giamatti, Damian Lewis, Maggie Siff and Malin Akerman, it depicts the sexy, ego-driven world of high finance and narrates the bold tale of two of New York's most powerful titans locked in an epic battle.
