Under the hashtag #MorePower2You, Datsun shares inspiring stories of redi-Go owners.

Datsun, the renowned automobile brand from the stable of Nissan, recently kicked off 5th global anniversary celebration in India. In order to build up the excitement quotient, the car brand launched a digital campaign – #MorePower2You, to bring alive the inspiring stories of real Datsun redi-GO owners.

Through this unique initiative, Datsun aims to recognize and celebrate the bold choices that Datsun redi-GO owners have made to realize their dreams across different walks of life. Under this, the brand rolled out a three part video series comprising of short two-minute digital films featuring the inspiring stories of Datsun owners from pan-India. The films showcase the uphill challenges they underwent to succeed in life and how their Datsun red-Go continued to be an integral part of this journey.

The first video highlights the story of Megha who is determined to transform Dharavi using the digital medium. While, the second video gives us a glimpse of Neha's ambition and commitment towards enabling people with disabilities to explore the wonders that travel can bring. In the third video, we come across Tenzing Bodosa's story of peace and harmony, and making sure that what we take from nature is given back in equal measure.

The campaign, which is entirely digital in nature, was driven through a series of planned social activations and innovative storytelling under the campaign hashtag #MorePower2You. Under this, the brand invited the Datsun owners to share their unique stories of passion and determination on the official Facebook and Twitter account of Datsun. And the best ones were finally presented in the form of digital videos to the world.

Speaking about the campaign, Mr. Jerome Saigot, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Bold and fearless, passionate and self-driven is what defines Datsun and its owners. #MorePower2You is a celebration of bold expressions, passion and the unconventional paths Datsun redi-GO owners have embarked upon to realize their dreams and achieve success in life. We are extremely proud to have such passionate owners as part of our Datsun family and salute their spirit!”

Interestingly, digital has played a critical role in Datsun's successful run in India. The brand has been leveraging its digital platforms effectively to target its customers since it began sales in India in 2014. This approach has been driven by the fact that almost 70% of global sales are driven by digital nowadays.

With this latest digital campaign, Datsun undoubtedly has taken a step forward towards strengthening digital communication with its customers in India. Besides, it conveys a strong message that when we realise our dreams and aspirations, there's nothing which can stop us from rising above the rest.
