Mudra Communications, Delhi, has won the Times Interactive account, which comprises timesofindia.com, economictimes.com (including its two sub-portals on personal finance and stocks) and planetm.com.
Confirming the development, Samit Sinha, executive vice-president, Mudra, Delhi, informed agencyfaqs! that the agency had been invited for a pitch. "There must have been four or five more agencies in the pitch, but I'm not sure who they are," says Samit. Mudra has won the account in the wake of a full-fledged strategy and creative presentation.
The exact size of the account is unavailable. "We haven't got into the financials yet," reveals Samit. As it is, estimating the size of a media account is quite difficult. In fact, as an industry veteran explains, "Some media accounts get paid on a fee basis, which could be insignificant from a business point of view. These accounts are mainly leveraged to showcase creative talent."
Creative work on the account, "will start in a couple of weeks", informs Samit. On the nature of the media to be used, there is likely to be a strong skew towards print. "However, the electronic media cannot be ruled out," adds Samit.
