Bates' ad for Jaipur Foot wins Rajasthan Patrika award

An ad created by Bates India for Jaipur Foot has won the top prize in the Best Black & White Consumer Ad category at the Rajasthan Patrika Advertising Awards

A print ad created by Bates India for charitable organization Jaipur Foot has won the top prize in the Best Black & White Consumer Ad category at the All India Advertising Awards for Excellence, constituted by Rajasthan Patrika. The ad - which, incidentally, was a Finalist in the Unpublished Work category at last year's Abby Awards, and was subsequently released - is a creation of Minal Phatak, senior visualizer, Bates India.

The judging for the Rajasthan Patrika Advertising Awards took place in Mumbai earlier this month, and the panel of judges included Piyush Pandey, executive chairman & national creative director, O&M India, and Prasoon Joshi, national creative director, McCann-Erickson India. The awards will be given away at Jaipur on the evening of March 20.

Speaking about Phatak's achievement, Rajeev Raja, executive creative director, Bates India, says, "The Rajasthan Patrika award is very good news for both Minal and Bates. It was a lovely ad, simple and to the point, yet executed very nicely. I am happy that Minal has won this recognition." © 2004 agencyfaqs!
