Lowe wins ICICI Bank's retail banking account

Lowe, Mumbai, has been awarded the advertising account of ICICI Bank’s retail banking business, which comprises the ICICI group’s core retail banking initiatives

In the wake of a multi-agency pitch, Lowe, Mumbai, has been awarded the advertising account of ICICI Bank's retail banking business, which constitutes the entire array of banking solutions that come under the private sector bank's retail liability division. The news of the ICICI win, which has been confirmed by Pranesh Misra, president & COO, Lowe, comes close on the heels of the agency winning Rs 30-crore of new business last month.

"The ICICI pitch, which was conducted for the group's various SBUs (strategic business units), was a month-long process, and we have been informed that we are now in charge of the retail liability division that comprises core retail banking initiatives," says Misra. "Our role is to manage and drive the acquisition of customers into the ICICI Bank brand." The size of the account, however, has not been ascertained, and Misra reveals that the agency has not as yet discussed financials with the client.

Following the acquisition of the retail banking account, Lowe now handles two significant ICICI businesses - the first being life insurance brand ICICI Prudential. "I think it is great to be associated with the largest private sector bank in the country," Misra says. "ICICI Bank has huge growth expectations, and this is a good opportunity for us to help grow the ICICI brand." © 2004 agencyfaqs!
