Ravina Raj Kohli finally quits STAR News

Uday Shankar, editor and director of News will now be officiating as the CEO of MCCS

It's official now. As agencyfaqs! had reported, Ravina Raj Kohli has finally decided to part ways with Media Content & Communication Services (India) Pvt. Ltd (MCCS), the company that broadcasts STAR News. Kohli had gone for indefinite leave since June.

As president, STAR News, Kohli was the person who guided the launch of the channel in April 2003.

Aniruddha Lahiri, director, MCCS and MD, ABP Group said, "Kohli's contribution in launching STAR News in Hindi is very well appreciated, and we at MCCS wish her all the very best for the future."

Kohli said "Television News in India requires local innovation and constant upgradation of people skills and technology. We have met with some great success in the past and I am sure that the team at STAR News will strive to maintain the strong position we have already achieved".
