Now, every time viewers send an SMS vote for their favourite contestants in any reality show of Amrita TV,the entire SMS revenue accruing to the channel will be donated for the education,shelter ,health care of underprivileged children.
So what's in an SMS to an Amrita Reality Show ? Lots .Your help will save a child !
Public voting will become an act of public service which will, perhaps, be a first in Indian television.
In an era where audiences are getting skeptical of the efficacy of SMS-based shows on various counts, an initiative of this nature provides a reassurance, as their engagement with the show now becomes a catalyst for transformation of lives.
In all reality shows of Amrita TV , the success of the contestant is dependent entirely on public voting through SMS votes .Currently there are four reality shows playing simultaneously: weekly 14 hours ,seven days a week --viz Super Star Global, Super Dancer Junior, Best Actor, Raga Ratnam Junior.
To showcase the campaign,the channel has produced a Public Service Announcement ,directed by noted film director,Shyamaprasad,whose latest Malayalam feature film,Ore Kadal ,has been nominated to be the inaugural film for the Panorama of the prestigious International Film Festival at Goa in November--he is President(Programmes),Amrita TV.
