Amrita TV auditions for "best citizen journalist"

The first ever reality show to discover the "Best Citizen Journalist" announced by Amrita TV has evoked considerable excitement and enters its audition phase

Amrita TV is conducting preliminary selection auditions comprising a Story Board Test and a Camera Test to be conducted on December 2 at Trivandrum,Ernakulam and Calicut.

A sample Story Board has been hosted on the channel's website for aspirants to get an idea of what to expect,especially because the show is not open to professional journalists or those qualified in journalism (www.amritatv.com/bcj)

After the preliminary selection round ,those who qualify, will appear before a select panel of jury for the Final Round in the second week of December .Subsequently 15 contestants will be selected, who will undergo orientation and grooming sessions to prepare them for this unique reality show.

Unlike most reality shows where most of the action is in the studio and sets,this contest will lay greater focus on field work and live reporting to prepare the contestants to be a citizen journalist.

Best Citizen Journalist is planned as a prime time show 5 days a week with SMS based voting

Today, the entire SMS revenue of all Amrita's reality shows go to support the public service initiative "Send An SMS.Save A Child", Now, every time viewers send an SMS vote for their favourite contestants ,the entire SMS revenue accruing to the channel is donated for the education,shelter ,health care of underprivileged children.
