As Amrita TV completes its third year, Doordarshan has placed the channel on DD-Direct+, thus spreading Amrita's reach across the country.

Due to the varied content mix of Amrita TV in genres like heritage, ecology, mythology, spiritual, human interest, cooking, comedy, chat shows alongwith reality shows, movies, serials and news, there has been a phenomenal demand in smaller towns and rural segments to view the channel.

The placement of Amrita TV in DD-Direct+ thus will facilitate the vast repertoire of Amrita's endearing, enriching and entertaining programmes to be beamed  to millions of homes who may not be connected through cable networks or emerging DTH platforms.
