SAB launches India’s first daily family comedy ‘Lo ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki’

Ever wondered if it would be possible for housewives, husbands and kids with their individual show preferences to sit down and together watch one single show. Ever wondered if a show could speak about a joint family and yet stay away from the negativism of joint family prevalent among SAAS Bahoo sagas, and extol the virtues and positive values of the Indian Joint Family. Come Monday June 30, 2008 and Indian families will experience complete family entertainment on SAB with the launch of “LO HO GAYI POOJA ISS GHAR KI” India’s first daily family comedy. The show will air everyday between Monday–Thursday at 9:00 pm.

Commenting on the new launch, Mr. Anooj Kapoor – Business Head, SAB said, “Comedy is something that can be shared by one and all. ‘Lo ho gayi Pooja iss ghar ki’ adds to our rib tickling comedy shows like ‘Yes Boss’ and ‘F.I.R.’ which lighten up the mood and leaves the viewers with a happy feeling. With SAB’s innovative and dynamic programming, we are repairing the damage caused to Indian Social Fabric by the negativism of SAAS BAHOO sagas. We believe due to the light hearted content, the viewers would find the much needed relief from the negative emotions shown in soaps and violent and negatively sensational news shown across News Channels. It’s our belief that the Family that laughs together stays together and our new show definitely binds the family by a simple thread of humour.”

Pooja’s role is being essayed by the adorable Sana Saeed who played Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. With her warmth and the girl next door simplicity she is sure to strike a chord with the viewers. Being India’s first daily family comedy, the show promises the viewers complete comic mayhem as Pooja tries to cover up her true identity from the family she has now become a part of. The audience will also get to see Bakhtyar and Tanaaz Irani in the role of husband and wife along with familiar names from the Television Industry such as Mushtaq Khan and the veteran Rohini Hattangady to name a few.

So get ready and watch out for the show that will guarantee for the whole family a daily doze of laughter and mayhem only on SAB.
