Parveen Ahluwalia has taken charge as Group CEO of Silicon Biztech (SBT), a global software development and IT outsourcing major headquartered out of Gurgaon,
Silicon Biztech is a diverse and multi-faceted group comprising three business verticals,in IT/ITES (Silicon World), interactive media (eBusiness Interactive) and hospitality (Sushi King). SBT, since the last six years has also been providing the technology engine and system backbone for lead generation for TMG Interactive, one of USA’s largest providers of customer lead generation services in North America and Europe.

Parveen Ahluwalia started his career in 1987 in Operations Research Group (ORG, now AC Nielsen), spending 5 years there before heading the brand planning function in advertising for more than 12 years in leading agencies including TBWA Anthem, Rediffusion DY&R and Frank Simoes Advertising. Subsequently he relocated to Chennai in February 2002 to head the marketing and business development function for India and South East Asia of Cactus Imaging Pte, one of the world’s largest digital printing majors for 3 years before relocating back to home base, Delhi, in 2005.
Prior to taking over his new role in Silicon Biztech, Parveen was a practicing brand consultant in marketing communications for more than three years, having set up with close friends a marcom advisory, namely, The Firm, based out of Delhi. Parveen has gained considerable experience and expertise in planning and managing the entire brand communications portfolio across diverse business verticals and industry sectors. Some of the leading brands he has strategized for during his agency stint include Sony, JK Industries, Escorts, Birla VXL, Avon, KFC, Airtel, Lufthansa, Siemens Mobile, Hyatt, Taj Group of hotels, Videocon, VLCC, PVR, etc.
Parveen is also a qualified management trainer and practicing academician of considerable repute, having been teaching and training for the last 17 years on a regular basis with India’s foremost B schools including Management Development Institute (MDI), and International Management Institute(IMI) as well as leading C schools including Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and National Institute of Advertising (NIA).
Commenting on his new assignment, Parveen says, “I am glad to have got this opportunity of taking SBT onto the next wave of development. I believe it will be both challenging and exciting for me personally to plan and manage the business paths of all the group verticals in times to come.”
