Kadence Group continues strong growth

Company Brief
New Delhi, February 10, 2009

Global business research specialist Kadence has had a positive start to its 2008-09 financial year by reporting revenue of US$7.8 million in the six months to December 2008 – a 40% increase on the same period last year.

Strongest growth came from developing markets in Asia Pacific where the group’s Malaysian and Indonesian offices increased revenues by 183% and 205% respectively. Kadence reports a vibrant research industry in the region, especially amongst the IT/telecom, healthcare, consumer and automotive sectors.

Growing demand for its insight and data services globally also pushed revenue up by 32% in the US, 71% in the UK, 93% in India and 34% in Singapore. The privately-owned company’s clients include Malaysian telecom company Celcom, Pfizer, Unilever, CNBC, Canon, Novartis and Honda.

Simon Everard, Kadence Group Chairman, comments: “These half-year figures would have been even higher but for the strength of the dollar in the second quarter. We have enjoyed significant growth across all our offices as a result of both new contract wins and existing clients increasing their spend with us. We remain very positive, despite the global downturn, and will be looking to grow our global staffing levels further by 50% over the next 12 months.

“In Asia Pacific especially we have seen the benefit of building skilled research teams with local experience. As more companies use customer insight in their business planning, product development and marketing communication decisions to gain a competitive advantage, we are in an excellent position to grow revenue further and capitalise on the increasing sophistication of the regional business market,” he continued.

Kadence is a leading, independent, B2B research specialist with offices in Boston, London, Delhi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong. Founded in 1992, the agency works with some of the world’s largest brands, providing global coverage at a local level. Specialist researchers work with clients to deliver knowledge rather than just data. In addition, due to the company’s experience in key business markets, Kadence is also the agency of choice for global management consultancies needing to conduct primary research. www.kadence.com
