Eggfirst recognizes and awards emerging creative talent

In an effort to encourage and give direction to the vast amount of potential that exist in the art colleges of Mumbai, Eggfirst rewarded select students for their year-end campaigns. As a part of the syllabus in art colleges, students from each year, across specializations, are required to create individual ad campaigns, which are then displayed in an exhibition open for visit to all.
Eggfirst team visited the exhibitions at JJ School of Arts, LS Raheja College of Commercial Arts and Sophia College for Women, and picked top three students from each institution on the basis of their concepts and execution. According to Maanoj, who led the team, said, “The idea was to reward those who were able to communicate a message rather than just decorate it.”
The winners were then called over to the Eggfirst office at Malad, Mumbai, and felicitated in a small ceremony. Eggfirst CEO, Ravikant Banka, personally handed over the prizes and had a word with the students, “Every student is a bundle of ideas and talent, and to select just three from each college was a tough ask. Yet, these students here sneaked ahead due to their ability to communicate their idea with clarity and connect with the target audience. That’s, after all, what advertising is all about.”
The students surely seemed to make most of the opportunity to interact with the Eggfirst team, exchange ideas and share viewpoints. Maanoj shared an insightful observation. He said, “I still haven’t seen a trend-setting idea. People are still following what existed fifteen years back. Yes, the concepts are amazing, but in terms of innovation, say in media, there has barely been any progress. And I think the responsibility lies with the teachers. They should be the ones encouraging students to be bold and push them towards exploring new territories. Students should be strictly deterred from using tried-and-tested ideas.”
Eggfirst has always been a supporter of young talent, quite visible from the composition of its team. The endeavor has continued with the college awards.
